TATE GAMES
Tate Modern, London

We have been designing games for two years for the Tate Modern with Anthony Burrill. They include:

BUILDING EXPLORER
The idea of this game is for the children to explore the Tate Modern building itself and how it affects their experience of art and the work on display.. The children can take on the role of Building Explorer by wearing the pop-out yellow hard-hat and making drawings with the pop-out cardboard ruler and protractor.

ART STAR
We created a newspaper for visitors to learn more about Andy Warhol and his work - as the idea of celebrity and mass reproduction were central themes in his work. The paper includes pages such as DIY Warhol Blotting Painting and make up your own news-stand headline on the pull-out centre fold.

ART INSPECTOR
This plays on the officialdom of inspectors in English institutions. The children (or adults) identify which artists in the galleries are breaking the ‘Art Rules’ – and use their sticker sets to make up their report.

THIS IS NOT A BAG
A collection of games and activities exploring ideas in Surrealism and Fluxus.
