Emma Thomas designed the poster shown for a seminar series called ‘Between the Frames’ run by Al Rees while studying at the Royal College of Art. ‘I designed a simple notice board information poster-stencil,’ she says of the work. ‘Then one evening I positioned the stencils on the floor at different entrances to the college and sprayed over them with Spray Mount. The posters were invisible until people began coming in and out. They started to appear as the dirt from everybody’s shoes built up on the sticky surface.’
